DMZ is back as MW4's third core mode
Here's what Activision and Infinity Ward have said so far, plus the one widely shared leak. Each item is labeled and links to its source.
Dates- OFFICIAL DMZ Early Access begins October 20 for players who digitally pre-order or pre-purchase MW4. Campaign Early Access starts October 16, and the full launch is October 23. (@CallofDuty)
Map & world- OFFICIAL The map is Hajin, an Exclusion Zone set after the MW4 Campaign, with regions including the Fallout reactor, the Prison complex, Hajin City and the Military Base. (CoD Blog)

Players per match & squad size- OFFICIAL (Infinity Ward interview) Geoff Smith told Screen Rant that DMZ is currently at 20 squads per round, so 60 players max, and matches run 40–50 minutes, up from about 30 in the beta. He said both numbers are still being tuned. Squads are built around three players and can grow to four during a match. (Screen Rant)
